Last Sunday, the Friendship Star quilting bee gathered at the Old House and spent the afternoon sewing wheelchair sized  lap quilts for the kids at Little Angels nursing home. Are you familiar with Little Angels? It is an amazing facility in Elgin for severely disabled children and those with complex medical needs. I was fortunate to be taken on a tour of Little Angels recently and was touched by the care and caring provided to these children.

As is so often the case, by giving to others we also received. We had a wonderful time and the classroom was full of shared tips, tricks, ideas and, of course, lots of laughter! It was a terrific day and several quilts were packed and ready to be delivered.

Are you a member of a guild or bee? If not, I encourage you to join one. Sewing is social and always more fun when done among friends! We always welcome new members, so please give us a call.
